Small family owned motel with decent nightly rates. Wish they had better weekly rates because I would stay here if that was the case. Been here the last two weeks and the staff has been great. I will be back!

I've lived in st pete for 39 years a d this place has been here as long as I can remember. The rooms are clean and you cant beat the price. Considering that you pay more for way worse, right next door. I have nothing but good memories from this place. This was my last time visiting st pete, I'm happy my last stay was here. ALWAYS A 5 STAR PLACE IN MY BOOK!
I've been a tenant for quite some time now. Owners are a very nice couple and keep the rooms tidy and very clean. Nicest motel in the area by far and very close to many different places to dine and shop. Definitely recommend this place to anyone trying to find nice accommodations with reasonable pricing.
Extremely clean, safe, quite, comfortable, friendly family owned and run motel. Nothing is lacking attention in the room, good water pressure, lots of parking, close to food and gas stations as well. I 100% prefer Murphy's over gateway nextdoor hands down any-and-every time. Night and day.
You definitely get what you pay for, but i loved the lady at the front desk. There's no bugs, that i seen. And i looked. Believe me. Only place with a room on Valentine's day. Definitely will stay again
Well we can't say much for the neighborhood lady however we absolutely love over ove the room we had it was huge not an ounce of noise all night wish there was better vending machines and maybe the blankets n towels need to be refreshed but for the rice we aid and the sizable room we are extremely happy to recommend the motel to friends and family and tell them not to go to the big box hotes they cost more and ya get a bit less no there's no pool but it's OK we had a full kitchen in the room the other big hotel has a miceo fridge n microwave oven that's it lolol so if your in the area and need accommodations look no further then the MURPHY MOTEL
I loved this place! I lost my credit card and wanted to get away for 3 days. Murphy's Motel didn't require a credit card. I just paid for the studio and 2 forms and I was in.
My partner and I stayed 5 days the Murphy motel in St. Petersburg last summer, and I am happy to report that this quaint little motel was a haven of southern hospitality at an affordable price. The staff there were very sweet to us, and the room was tastefully decorated & very clean and well maintained. As a gay couple we have encountered some very cool receptions at other motels, but this was definitely not the case at this motel; they were as kind and accepting as could be! I highly recommend Murphy Motel to anyone, regardless of their lifestyle.
Really loved the flat rate the lady offers here. Paid $90 for a room with two beds and there weren't all the fees and stuff that other hotels attach to the cost and you end up paying $20 or $30 more than the price for the room. So for this place to offer the flat rate and then the rooms were nice. I really loved the stand up shower in the bathroom and there were a TV, microwave, and fridge in the room which was also nice. Oh and there is a company that comes through in the morning and gives out free plates of food for breakfast. That was also a very nice amenity. Thank you again Murphy's Hotel! 5 Star place for me.
